The Insidious Motive Behind Fast and Furious

I wrote on several occasions about the Fast and Furious scandal that has been unraveling for the past few months. Some (including me) who have been following this scandal closely have concluded that the real motivation behind the operation was to achieve more stringent gun control laws that generally have been eluding progressives for decades now.

Once again, we are being proven correct in our suspicions. As CNS reports, making a case for national gun registration, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) said “perhaps mistakes were made” in the botched gun-walking program known as Fast and Furious, but she said trying to assign blame misses the larger problem. “This is a deep concern for me. I know others disagree, but we have very lax laws when it comes to guns,” Feinstein, an advocate of gun control, said during Tuesday's hearing of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism.

All the lies told by Attorney General Holder and the President are well calculated to mislead the American public. We know that this is an incompetent bunch but, by the same token, we also know of their radical goals which I have chronicled on my blog from early on in this Administration.

As I opined many times before, the progressive movement is insidious in nature. It is well disciplined and patient. They are well aware that their Alinskyite tactics stand much better chance of success than failed direct action strategy Marxism has employed in the past.

After all, it took them over eight decades to (perhaps) irreparably degrade our Constitution and half a century to immerse our school system in cultural Marxism.  If anything, progressives know the value of discipline, stealth, and patience when it comes to actuating bloodless coups.  It is about time to learn their tactics and turn the tables on them.

It is this sort of event that undermines confidence among consumers and producers alike. It also undermines the ability for law enforcement to do their jobs. Political interference in the justice process has become the new normal.

Gradually people lost their trust in the system, so easy to understand why the economy continues to struggle.
